2024 Fall Fundraiser

The Friends of Rachel Carson Fall Fundraiser runs September 9th-20th (although donations are gladly accepted anytime!). District wide finances have made this year’s fundraiser critically important. Our goal is to raise $25,000 with 100% of proceeds going to support the average annual cost per student of $225. Funds raised help pay for site visit transportation and entrance fees, science fair expenses, classroom books and supplies, and much more. 

Donations for this fundraiser can be made via check made out to “Friends of Rachel Carson.” Please have students bring checks to their WIN teachers. Donations can also be made by Paypal @FriendsofRC or by Venmo @RC20more.

Other Ways to Support RC:

• Friends of Rachel Carson is a designated 501c3 charity, and is also registered with Benevity.  Benevity is an employer matching program and several very large and prominent employers in the region participate.  If you choose to donate through your employer platform, your funds will be matched. Employers in our area include: Intel, Nike, Starbucks, Microsoft, Prudential, PepsiCo, and more!   Please check your employer’s benefit site to see if a matched monetary donation is possible!  Benevity ALSO will pay for volunteer hours for many companies.  When you volunteer at the school, if you record your hours with your Benevity site/employer, the program may be awarded dollars for your service. 

• Friends of Rachel Carson is also signed up as a charity with the Kroger family of companies. Link your Kroger rewards card to Friends of Rachel Carson.

• Friends of Rachel Carson participates in the BottleDrop Blue Bag program. Just request a blue bag, fill it up and drop them directly at a BottleDrop location. Scan the bag tag to open the secure Drop Door. Ready for a bag? Email anngoldade@yahoo.com!
